The Never Satisfied
In 1899, an electric car set the world land speed record.
It was called La Jamais Contente (“The Never Satisfied”), and it looked more like a torpedo on wheels than a car. Powered by two electric motors, it became the first road vehicle to break 100 km/h (62 mph).
The kicker: over 120 years ago, the fastest car on Earth was not gas-powered, it was electric.
Proof that EVs are not new, just making a comeback. And just like then, confidence in the technology is what makes the difference.
